But they still have plenty of players they can go to. They proved it again Friday night during a 103-101 win over Gainesville at Shorter’s Winthrop-King Centre. Shaun Fountain, Carl Edwards, Harvey Thomas and Rome newcomer Edmond Saunders each contributed key baskets in the final 2½ minutes as the Gladiators (8-2) held off a frantic fourth-quarter comeback by the Knights.
