When the Cartersville Warriors went into halftime trailing the Cleveland (Tenn.) Majic by seven points Saturday night at Cass High, Warriors coach David Archer Jr. wasn't happy.
However, one thing Archer didn't do was panic, and the Warriors repaid his faith in a big way.
Cartersville outscored Cleveland 73-51 over the final two quarters to rally and pull away for a 126-113 win over Cleveland in a matchup of two of the top teams in the World Basketball Association.
"We beat a good team tonight," said Archer. "This team has beaten Rome, Marietta and Murfreesboro, which are three very good teams. This was another statement-making win for us."
