The Forum isn’t the Rome Gladiators’ home court, but they protected it just the same.
Taking control in the third quarter and then fending off a late Druid City charge in the final six minutes, the Gladiators escaped with a grind-it-out 90-88 victory Saturday at The Forum.
Trent Eager finished with a team-high 19 points for the Glads, who won their seventh straight game and improved to 9-2 overall.
“This was kind of an odd situation, with this being a home game that wasn’t really a home game,” said Rome coach Harold Ellis. “But our guys did a good job of playing with the same emotion they normally have.
