Marcus Carter commits to Portland (Class of 2005)
Headed To WCC (9-7-04)
TheInsiders.com profile
A long and agile athlete, Carter has some great natural basketball skills. He handles the ball really well for his size, and has a very pretty outside shot. As he gets older and more aggressive, Carter has all the tools to be a high-major prospect.

I think Jon decided to go to North Carolina. I am really excited about Larry Gurganious, i have seen some of his play and he plays really smooth for his age and i think a good comparison is Qyntel Woods with a work ethic(sp?)

PG Commits To WCC Program (10-5-04)

Strong lead guard with a very nice shot. More of a scorer than distributor. Tough and competitive. Possible mid major prospect.

Alex Tiefenthaler commits to Portland (Class of 2005)
Big Man Gives Verbal (10-11-04)
TheInsiders.com profile
Tiefenthaler has good size at 6-8, with a good skill set. He likes to step out offensively, but is a good positional rebounder inside on both sides of the floor. He had a good summer of 2003, where he played with energy, and impressed college coaches. It's early and he could develop beyond expectation, but a mid-major.

Gonzaga's stepping out
Oct. 27, 1:58 p.m.
Speaking of Gonzaga ...
The Zags also are flexing their recruiting muscle, finding themselves in the unusual position of competing with Illinois for one of the best players in Illinois. That would be 6-1 senior guard Jeremy Pargo of Chicago, who is reportedly down to Illinois and Gonzaga.
The Zags are always in the hunt for premium talent, but usually that talent has come from the Pacific Northwest or an overseas connection. To be a finalist for one of Illinois' finest, and on even footing with Illinois -- a preseason Final Four contender -- suggests we haven't seen the best of Gonzaga just yet.

Jeremy Pargo commits to Gonzaga (Class of 2005)
Bulldogs Sign Chicago Prep Standout (11-21-04)
Scout.com profile
Brother starred at Arkansas and was drafted into the NBA in 2002. Appears to be a better passer than his brother. He participated in the 2002 adidas ABCD Camp and was a member of the underclassman all-star game.
Rivals.com profile
"Jeremy is different from a lot of players because he really wants to be the best. He works harder than most players and takes pride in being a leader. I think Jeremy really proved that this summer." - Illinois Fire AAU Head Coach Mac Ervin
CollegeSports.com profile
Averaged 24 pts as a junior. He is the brother of Chicago Bulls guard Jannero Pargo.
HighSchoolElite.com profile
A smart player, Jeremy is athletic and a proficient ball-handler. He occasionally plays too passive, but when he turns it on there are few who can play on his level. The younger brother of the NBA's Jannero Pargo.
