Re: Gonzaga Recruting Update for 2006
Gonzaga has signed Will Foster of Enumclaw and Steven Gray (class of 2007) from Bainbridge High School who will be a stud mark my words.....Still waiting on Matt Bouldin.....
Gonzaga has one of the best recruiting teams in the NCAA...

? Then why did they loose Jordan Farmar and why can't they sign any of the big names out of their own state then.
Gonzaga is number 1 on Matt Bouldins List, Top five for Taylor King, and top five for Derrick Jasper.

They don't need to, they're still better than UCLA and Raivio is just as good as Farmar and is already accomplished....
The big name guys in their own state are still infatuated with the bigger conference schools, that Gonzaga usually beats every year...

Maybe so about the big name schools.
Ravio is NOT better than Farmar, Farmar as a Freshman carried his team along with Dejon Thompson to the NCAA Tournment, Ravio couldn't do that, EVER. If you made a poll on the main college basketball board i bet you 1000 UCash Points that more poster would say Farmar is better.
Will Foster better not turn into anorther Calum MacLeod AKA Waste of Schollie.

Re: Gonzaga Recruting Update for 2006
i'll take farmar over raivio. the zags arent going to get the taylor kings or the spencer hawes of the world mainly because of spokane and the campus there. its a great envioronment for guys that sort of sneak under the radar but GU isnt going to compete with the dukies and the tarheels and neither do most other schools for that matter. on a somewhat unrelated note i had a bunch of former zags at the crib this weekend, they can get pretty loud.

Re: Gonzaga Recruting Update for 2006
Greivis Vasquez relesed a new list and Gonzaga is still in his top 5. I can see Taylor King coming to Gonzaga because of Adam Morrison going to be gone after this season most likely. Will Foster is for 2006.

The way I see it thou is even if we don't get him it is good to be in his Top 5 or so just for the chance to get a player that good.

need to start cashing in on some of those top 5's though. i would at some point hope they can lure the luke ridnours or the spencer hawes types from the west side of the state. as great as the program has been that campus really doesnt do much for a lot of these kids.

Luke Ridnour was a very lightly recruited player, in fact I heard somewhere that Oregon was the only major Northwest school to offer him a scholarship....
