SF Blake Wallace lists Gonzaga in his final four and says the Zag coaches will give him an in-home visit before setting up a visit to GU.
PF Daniel Deane will visit Wake Forest (don't know when), then make his decision afterwards.
PF Ryan Anderson lists Gonzaga in his top 5. He has four visits scheduled but none to Spokane. All have offered but GU. Word is GU wants him to visit.

Hawes is now at UW, Here is some new Deon Thompson News per: http://mb6.scout.com/fzaghoopsfrm1.s...ID=18572.topic
Quote:
Zag fans, you can feel optimistic.
Gonzaga is very much in the mix for Deon. According to a good source, it's a three-way deadheat right now with GU seriously hanging in with two large, state-funded schools. Two other large, state schools trail by a step and half-step right now. Things do and can change quickly in the world of recruiting, however, but Deon is as level-headed as you'll find.
Deon will likely announce his college intentions sometime next week.

New Commitment, for 2007
Quote:
|
The parents of Robert Sacre, Leslie Sacre, Greg Lefleur, and his family, and Handsworth School, are proud to announce that the Robert has made a verbal commitment to attend Gonzaga University on a basketball scholarship. The 6'11.5" grade 11 student who plays his high school basketball for the Handsworth Royals, came to a tough decision on Tuesday. After years of attention and dozens of scholarship offers, the tough decision was made this week. The desire to eliminate distractions so Robert could focus on school, and his eagerness about the upcoming high school season, were factors that lead to an early choice. Tuesday was an emotional day for our immediate basketball family of players, coaches, and parents, as we are all proud of our student-athlete Robert Sacre. The stable coaching staff, track record of player development, style of play, quality of people, atmoshpere of classes, and a focus on team chemistry, were factors that gained support from the Handsworth coaching staff. We support Robert and Leslie's decision 100%

Sacre will be a beast......Him and Heytvelt will be twin towers.....
There's so many guys that we have a recruited that I'm excited about......
Stephen Gray
Abdullah Kuso
Matt Bouldin
Robert Sacre
Jeremy Pargo
Mamery Diallo
Larry Gurganious
and hopefully next Landry Fields.....
This team is going to be good for years and years to come...

How could you not like him? You've most likely not seen him play...
Do you remember the last couple foreign big guys that Few has recruited?.....

Mario Kasun is in the NBA...
Ronny Turiaf is in the NBA...
Ian Mahimni is in the NBA....
J.P. Batista is soon to be in the NBA...
Few knows whats he's doing....

Re: Gonzaga Recruting Update for 2006
I think the Zags should go after Branden Webster with the last Scholle for 2006.
