WCC Season Evaluation (To Date)

With the New Year right upon us and some serious conference action about to begin, how would you evaluate the conference's performance overall?

Please feel free to discuss individual team evaluations or the conference on the whole. Feedback from everyone on this please as I am interested in the responses I receive.

Conference rating so far

Gonzaga has lived up to or very slightly exceeded expectations,
considering Turiauf was injured for the loss to St. Joe's. Gonzaga was never in the Stanford game, where Lottich shot lights out.
Even though Gonzaga as a team has faired above par, the season has been somewhat disappointing for the two Wooden candidates, Stepp and Violette. Violette has come on strong of late, but against weak competition. Fox and Skinner are out for
awhile respectively, and the 3 freshmen will bet more playing time now. I feel Turiauf is the most valuable so far to his team's
effort. Stepp is playing well again after early season struggles
against players like Jameer Nelson. Morrison has been the surprise of the season for Gonzaga and Erroll Knight is coming
around nicely after early season injuries.

The rest of the conference's play can only be described as surprisingly poor against OOC opponents. St. Mary's seems to be making some progress but blew leads late in two games they might have won agaqinst USC and Arizona. Can someone please comment on what is happening with Pepperdine???
