Fox 25: 20. Gonzaga
Can the Zags do it once again? Having a strong frontline is usually a recipe for success in NCAA basketball. Then the answer should be 'yes'.
Zach Gourde, Corey Violette and Ronny Turiaf all drip talent. The three can contend with the country's best big men. Each bring different things to the table which make it hard to defend when all are on the floor at once.
Gone is Dan Dickau, the all everything guard, is gone. Blake Stepp is still in Spokane though. No need to worry. Although Stepp isn't the prolific scorer like Dickau is, Stepp may be a better PG. He's a bit bigger, a bit more physical and equally as ballsy. Gotta love that!
The only concern is this: the schedule. The Zags will play Utah, the Maui Invitational, Georgia, Stanford, St. Joseph's, Pepperdine (twice) and Tulsa. Ouch. But the arguement surronding Mark Few and the program is a lack of competitive games. Show up or shut up time. They'll be ready.

the non conferance schedule to me doesnt look that bad,in the past it was teams like illinois and michigan state so this one looks managable.i think they will miss dickau more than people might think.he just had the ability to score 20 in a half and put a game away.you are right their frontcourt should be the strength of the team and you can add villapaque and fox along with freshamn sean mallon(if he's not redshirted).they are going to win a lot games just by the fact that they play a lot of weak sisters but the test will be the post season success or lack thereof.

Gonzaga plays Missouri Dec. 13th. That should be a great game.
The Zags wont see another team with that much talent in 03'- 04'

That game is on CBS too. Great national showcase in Seattle for the Zags. Would be a big step in the right direction for the team, because Seattle is where Gonzaga should end up in the tournament. They better have at least a 3 seed or I will go .

Two of the best frontcourts in the country.
Jason Conley wont be eligible for that game( i think) but he could be the newcomer of the year in the Big12.
Cory Violette vs Linas Kleiza should be fun to watch if Kleiza is as good as I've heard.

Classic
That Gonzaga- Missouri game is one of the top matchups all year
and a breakout game for WCC national exposure moving forward.
Also, the coaching matchup of Few versus Snyder is worth witnessing. Any predictions out there??

In Seattle, I say the Zags win a close one.

with some road heavyweights on gonzaga's schedule, i look for this team to get a three seed or even better if they can win a couple of them and finish with a good record. that first game against saint joeseph's is a big game for both teams. even though its november, the games still count. winning this game on the road (although its neutral) against a highly touted team will be a good thing for gonzaga to have on their resume come selection sunday.
the zags need to get their players healthy as well. after reading over the recap of their exhibiton game it looks as if some big name players didn't even play.
i can't wait to see this adam morrison fellow. he scored 29 points in the exhibition. it looks like the zags have done it again and landed another fantastic guard to their roster. i will be glued to my tv set on november 14. as the site bracketologist, i believe that is going to be a very important game. one thing i've learned over the years is that these games in november aren't considered any less important by the selection committee.

Forward
Morrison is a versatile 3/4 . I do not think he would be considered a guard. He has been described as a scorer, so
it is going to be interesting how Coach Few balances his minutes
between Skinner( a streaky shooter who is capable of going off on quality opponents when on) and this new guy who is proving worthy of playing time as a true freshman.
We'll see soon enough!!
