being in spokane you may know more about the situation there than i do. the two guys i know coming in next year are josh heytvelt and david pendergraft. both are top 65 players nationally and both were seattle times all state players, and as you know this state turns out a lot of talent. one would think both frosh are going to have to play and contribute right away. next years team will be young, hopefully rony will be back, that will make a world of differance.

Even if Turiaf comes back they will still be alot younger next year. I think Morrison is going to have a great year and will definitely one of their best players. Losing Stepp, Violette, Skinner, and Bankhead is alot to lose but they have good talent coming in. They will be young but I think they will finish on top. There are a few other WCC teams on the rise that will provide more of a challenge than this past year did.

They will be a better team without Stepp. The guy choked two years in a row during the NCAA tournament. Ravio and Morrison are two guys that are fearless and can score. If Turiaf comes back they will be better than last year. Missing Violette is going to suck too. How about Richard Fox? He is a good guy to have to bang around down low.

I forgot about Fox, he was injured for awhile. Yes, he gives them another big body to bang. I think Morrison and Ravio are excellent replacements for Stepp. Even though Blake choked in the tournament he was an important player his four years there. It will be interesting to see if he winds up on an NBA roster in the near future, if not next year. It seems like he would have more success in Europe.

They play in a horrible conference, I wouldn't worry.

I'm not worried at all but I just think that if turiaf doesn't stay(I saw him today and I talked to him about it and he said he was 80% to 20% about staying with the 80% for staying) If he does stay and it looks that way I think we can win the title and hopefully be a 10 seed in next years tournment.

Umm Pepperdine, St. Mary's and Santa Clara all return a boatload of talent from this year. There is a good chance that Gonzaga is preseason No. 3 or No. 4 in the WCC.
Both Pep and St. Mary's lose no starters while Santa Clara only loses one. It's going to be a dogfight for the Zags to make the tournament a year from now, especially if Turiaf left (I hope not).

The Zags will continue to get better. It will be interesting to see if they decide to bring in athletic talent from other states, or will they going to continue to take top prospects from WAshington.
If they want to make serious tournament runs, they will need to get some more athletic talent from somewhere.
