Former Silver Star Campbell retires
WNBA veteran Edna Campbell announced her retirement from the league.
Campbell spent one season with the Silver Stars. She appeared in 28 games, averaging 1.7 points in 8.9 minutes during the 2005 season.
In 2002, Campbell became the first active WNBA player to be diagnosed with breast cancer. She missed 31 games that season before returning to play in Sacramento's season finale.
Campbell has been in the league since 1999 and played with four WNBA teams. She averaged 7.1 points for her career and shot 38.8 percent from 3-point rang
