Washington, D.C. -The Washington Mystics released its preseason schedule for the 2006 season. The Mystics will play two games prior to the start of the regular season.
Washington will travel to Wichita, Kansas to face the San Antonio Silver Stars on Saturday, May 6th at 7:00 pm CST. It will be a reunion for former Kansas State University players, Mystics' Laurie Koehn and Silver Stars' Kendra Wecker.
The Mystics will return to Verizon Center on May 13th at 7:30 p.m. to host the 2005 WNBA Most Valuable Player, Sheryl Swoopes and the four-time Champions, Houston Comets.
"I am excited to go back to Wichita and feature our top WNBA players with Kansas ties," said General Manager Linda Hargrove. "Hosting the Houston Comets will be a time for us to test our progress against one of the most experienced playoff teams in the West."
