Silver Stars unveil new web site for 2006 season

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Silver Stars Web site, SASilverStars.com, has a new look. The team announced today a re-launch of the site with enhanced features, such as simplified navigation, and new technology to make the latest Silver Stars news easier to find.

One major addition is a top story rotator that automatically cycles through the three most important news and features about the team in one central location. The calendar function has also been revamped to allow users to find the information they need at a glance, and minimize the clicks necessary to get to the desired content.

The new site also features a streamlined design which emphasizes content and ease of use. The improved navigation bar puts every major section of the site within a single click. The new home page layout makes more efficient use of space by placing more content above the fold of the page.

"We're very pleased to launch the redesign of SaSilverStars.com this season," said Jeff Brody, director of Internet for Spurs Sports & Entertainment. "The new design is a great reflection of the team and improves the best source of Silver Stars information for our fans."

Daniel Banks, SS&E Internet coordinator, led the redesign process. "We're very proud of the new site because it has been a true collaborative process involving input from the fans to create a design that showcases exactly what they're seeking. Along with the great changes in look and functionality, fans can expect new, exciting content bringing them closer than ever to the team," said Banks.

The redesign process for the site began earlier this season with SS&E working directly with the WNBA Internet Services group, Adam Bloom, Jen Levinson, Josh Alvies and Janine Dugre, to design an aesthetically pleasing and functional site based on best practices and an understanding of what Silver Stars fans wanted.
