Shanna Zolman grew up in rural Indiana, and her basketball background has all the scenic wonderment that the movie "Hoosiers" promises.
Dirt roads. Dirt driveways. Dirt just about everywhere.
"Less than 3,000 people, only three stoplights," Zolman, a Silver Stars rookie, said of Wawasee, Ind., her hometown.
But Zolman, who will make her AT&T Center debut tonight as the Silver Stars host Charlotte in their exhibition finale, didn't have to endure dribbling on unpaved roads. Her father, Kem, was a local basketball coach.
"So the gym was always accessible," Zolman said.
