Playing in a college arena for the second consecutive night, the Storm learned a lesson about fatigue.
With only nine players in uniform at the University of Minnesota Sports Pavilion, the Storm led 72-70 in the fourth quarter before the Minnesota Lynx scored 10 unanswered points in the Storm's 84-75 loss to close out exhibition play.
Betty Lennox had given Seattle the lead with a three-pointer midway through the fourth on Saturday before everything seemingly went wrong for the Storm. Minnesota rookie Seimone Augustus, who led all scorers with 26 points, scored five in the final four minutes as Seattle fell to 1-2 in exhibition play.
"She completely changes their team," said Storm coach Anne Donovan. "She showed she can completely take over the game. It's not often you see a rookie come into the league and play like they've been here for years."
