Swin Cash and Cheryl Ford each scored 15 points, and Ruth Riley and Kedra Holland-Corn each scored 12 points as the Detroit Shock coasted to an 85-70 victory over the host Houston Comets in a WNBA exhibition Tuesday.
Ten of the 11 Shock players to play scored. Reserve Kara Braxton scored nine and Jacqueline Batteast scored seven as the Shock finished the preseason with a 2-1 record. The Shock opens the regular season Saturday at Indiana.
The Shock held Houston's Sheryl Swoopes to just six points. Roneeka Hodges scored 18 points for Houston.
