As a thank you to their fans, the Charlotte Sting will host Fandemonium on Saturday, August 12, as the team closes out its 2006 season against the Chicago Sky at 6 p.m. at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.
The first 5,000 fans through the doors at Charlotte Bobcats Arena will receive a Sting team poster courtesy of Tathwell Printing.
When doors open at 5 p.m., the entire Sting team will be on hand to greet fans as they enter the arena. An interactive fan fest will be set up on the concourse where fans can participate in a variety of games and activities. Radio Disney will also be involved in the night's activities as the Sting's media partner.
Just prior to tipoff, the Sting will honor both Sheri Sam and Tangela Smith for achieving their 3,000th career WNBA point in an on court ceremony. Sam and Smith are just two of 13 players to achieve 3,000 points over the course of their WNBA career.
Immediately following the game, several lucky fans will be selected to come onto the court and win shoes and jerseys from Sting players in a postgame ceremony.
