SAN ANTONIO — Storm coach Anne Donovan tried yelling.
She tried swapping the lineup.
She tried nearly every motivational tactic in her repertoire.
But with her team's postseason set, the players weren't responding. And San Antonio, desperate to snap its season-high six-game losing streak, took advantage to pull out a 75-65 win at the AT&T Center.
"The game was a little less important," said Storm reserve guard Edwige Lawson-Wade, whose team beat Detroit on Tuesday to clinch its third consecutive playoff berth but could have clinched third place in the West by beating San Antonio. "But instead of going out there and playing really hard like it counts ... we could have done a better job in our approach to the game."
