Don't count on Tamika Catchings of the Indiana Fever winning her first MVP award. No MVP has ever finished lower than third in the WNBA in scoring nor averaged fewer than 17.6 points a game.
Pending games late Sunday, Catchings will finish eighth in league scoring at 16.3.
For the fourth time in a five-year career, Catchings led the Fever in five categories -- points, rebounds (7.5), assists (7.5), steals (2.9), blocked shots (1.1). No other WNBA player has done so once.
