When WWE and John Cena got word that he would be able to return to the ring early from his pectoral tear, they decided to have him make media appearances where he said he was still months away from returning and would also probably not be able to work WrestleMania. The idea was to throw everyone off and deliver a big surprise return at the Royal Rumble.

Cena also make stuff up regarding his next WWE film project, 12 Rounds. While the film is real, and shooting will be in New Orleans, it will only be for 4-5 weeks, not five months like Cena was saying. Cena was saying that he would film the movie while recovering, again, as a way of keeping people in the dark about his surprise return.

Most figured that while Cena was ahead of schedule on rehabbing his injury, that he was still awhile away from returning to the ring. Cena hinted at an early return during an interview with Sky Sports in Great Britain, saying he felt fine and that "you never know" when he might return. But again, once WWE got the clearance that he could return, they had him go out and act like he wasn't close to being able to return to keep everything a surprise.

They did a very good job for once, I'm suprised that he returned. I think this can only be good for the company.

Hmm...word is that Cena'll be on a pretty limited schedule until Wrestlemania, as they wanna be cautious with him and make sure he stays healthy. That, and he's supposed to be filming a movie too.

Hopefully the WWE starts to put a strong show together outside of him vs. Orton...

they werent before he was injured, why would they now? and honestly they were better when he was gone, they got forced into pushing different people finally, and now that cena back they can go back to lazy storytelling, with the monster of the month crap

i was just mostly venting at cena being back. and im a huge hardy fan. but whatever im good now. ill live. i still think that the wwe needs to rethink their priorities but whatever, who doesnt right?

im really wondering whats gonna happen to the ecw... i was think that what if they took the ecw belt and turned it into the hardcore belt and got rid of ecw all together. then dispursed the ecw wrestlers amongst raw and smackdown and made the hardcore belt winable and defendable between brands(i guess like the smackdown and ecw belts are now..) and they could make one of or both of the shows longer and have a hardcore belt scene that the old ecw guys could go after as well as some of the guys who've been stuck buried on raw and smackdown. after typing that all out it sounds kinda stupid maybe.. whatever just brainstorming..
