Re: Time to stop watching WWE for awhile (upcoming storyline spoiler)
it amazes me that ppl blame russo for running wcw into the ground, when in reality it was egos and the FACT that turner didnt even want wrestling on his stations anymore. as for this idiotic storyline, what do you expect. i give the guy 6 months before hes gone.

Their good matches on free TV aren't far and away better than WWE's. They actually have just as many or more short little mediocre matches on Impact as they do on your typical Raw, often run-in happy.
TNA does have excellent women's wrestling, though.

Ahh, my bad. I'm surprised they dumped that gimmick actually, given Smackdown's weak roster. He seemed to get a decent reaction from the crowd too.

I think he got hurt and that factored in. He was definitely a solid mid-carder on SD! and would help the US Champ scene a good deal...

That's a pretty badass entrance. Makes me feel like I'm missing out by not watching wrestling anymore, then I see the article that started this threat and I remember why I stopped.

Re: Time to stop watching WWE for awhile (upcoming storyline spoiler)
Not a shock, unfortunately. I don't know what's wrong in McMahon's brain that makes him think this is actually a good idea. But, they have covered just about everything else, from exploiting sexuality and racial stereotypes to mocking the handicapped, so I guess this is just the natural progression? It's pretty sad, and very tasteless, but that's pretty much what I've come to expect from the WWE. As Dave Chappelle used to say: "Better not bring your kids!"

Looks like the storyline is gonna happen on Raw..
Quote:
Dark Match:
Paul Burchill (with Katie Lea) defeated Nick Berk. Before the match, Katie took the mic and said that all she wants is to see her brother win. Burchill responded, "What Katie wants, Katie gets."

That pirate gimmick, the entrance and the whole get-up, felt straight out of early 90s WCW.
I mean that in both a good and bad way.
