Only real good they did was the nWo. They ended up ruining that eventually with 10 different factions and storyline changes. |

And unoriginal? You're ****ing kidding right? A WWF fan talking about being original? Remember Gilberg? That wasn't some joke for a few episodes, he was with the company for a long time. What about when the Outsiders left, and you guys just brought back look alikes? The NWO's height, Goldberg being the biggest star in the business, star power, etc. I get that you're a WWE fan, and that's super awesome for you, but don't try to belittle a league that destroyed the WWF for years for good reason.

Re: Best of WCW Nitro
I liked both but think in hindsight alot of people act like WCW was complete garbage. nWo, DDP, cruiser weights, Goldberg and a lot of other talent made Nitro must see TV up until about 99. The problem was that only Goldberg managed to get pushed past Hogan/Nash while many others got stuck in the mid card. By the time they finally decided to move on with Booker T, Steiner and other younger guys it was too late. They did over do the nWo with the original..then the Wolfpac..then putting the two together..then killing it..then coming with nWo 2000. nWo could only do so much..they should have had Sting beat Hogan cleanly at Starcade then kill the nWo off slowly for good. Then they could have focused on building more young stars considering they already had everyones attention due to the nWo and Goldberg. Jericho, Benoit, Eddie, Rey, Big Show..WWE pretty much survived because WCW wouldnt push who they had.

Re: Best of WCW Nitro
No one ever wanted to fight Goldberg though because he was constantly hurting people. He didn't know how to sell his moves without hurting the other guy.

Re: Best of WCW Nitro
It's three discs. Right now I'm a little over half the first disc and it's pretty good so far. The first couple of pre-nWo Hogan matches were dreadful though..you can tell the crowd wasn't into him anymore.

You actually think WWF was serious about Razor, Diesel and Gilberg character? It was only to mock them and they kept him as a running joke. Plain and simple. Nothing more. And that's your best examples about unoriginality? Bischoff fires Austin saying he can't market a guy in black trunks or black boots. So he creates a steroid version in the same manner when Austin blows up and has him on some ridiculous almost 200 win streak. And Goldberg was never as big as Rock or Austin. Nor the biggest in the industry. In WCW yes. lol please dude. Has nothing to do with being a WWF fan. Your post screams more Dubya C. Dubya fandom. I guess it's super awesome for you. And for your info, I was a huge nWo fan and liked a lot of others in WCW. I actually wish WCW still existed. But it's all the truth. Yeah, they were destroying them until people started to wake up and WWF/E overtook them yrs before they sold em to Vince. Their dominance didn't last long obviously. It's funny how you ignore that. |

"Yea, they dominated them, but it doesn't count"
Good post. Remember the Boogeyman? Hell, one of the biggest stars right now is some guy who just runs out and says "Grrrr, I'm Scottish! Or Irish! I have red hair!" The Miz? Keep talking up the WWE. It's a joke. There's a reason I don't watch anymore.
