2nd Annual Legends of Wrestling Draft ***DISCUSSION THREAD***

RULES and INFO:
1. We need anywhere from 8-16 owners interested for the draft. If interested, post in this thread and come up with a name for your wrestling organization(preferably 3 words). (example: Hardcore Wrestling Entertainment )

2. All wrestling organizations will consist of 16 draft picks. Draft picks can be used on Wrestlers, Managers, or whatever other positions you want on your card.

3. Wrestlers can be drafted from any era or company (WWE/F, WCW, TNA, ECW, NJPW, ROH, etc.).

4. When drafting a wrestler that has had a couple of "gimmicks" throughout their career, make sure you clarify which gimmick will be used in your organization. ex: do you want Hollywood Hogan or Hulkamania Hogan? Deadman or biker? Once a wrestler has been drafted, he can not be drafted again by a different organization under a different gimmick.

5. When the draft is complete, organizations will be put up against eachother in a single elimination playoff tournament. Whichever organization receives the most amount of votes in the voting period will advance to the next round. Voting will be based on which organization has the better overall card. 6. Everyone will have 5 HOURS to make a selection once they are scheduled to pick. If you feel like your going to miss your next pick, send me a list. If a pick is missed and there is no list for me to go off of, I will make your pick for you. So unless you want Doink the Clown or Max Moon selected for you, I suggest you stay active or send lists!

7. The draft order will be randomly determined and it will be a SNAKE draft.

8. Please if you sign up, BE COMMITTED! This could take a couple of weeks to finish and it will be a lot more enjoyable with a group of active owners!



Now those are the rules. I dont have an official day I'd like to start this by, but if it works for you guys I'd like to get this going in the next week or two. Last year we did this in July but it looks like I'll be quite busy in July and August this summer so sooner the better. Feel free to suggest anything that can improve the draft from last year and if you guys have any questions let me know.

We'll see where we are at in a couple weeks when the NBA finals are finished. Hopefully you change your mind by then.

Yeah you had one hell of a card. I thought I was a lock to go to the finals with my Goldberg vs. Undertaker main event but you knocked me out in the first round


Anyways, some people say wait to start this until after the playoffs, others say who cares and start it in the next week or two. What do you guys think?

I don't think this should have anything to do with the playoffs. Start it while you got people interested. Hmm I might do a Hip Hop draft after this too

how the hell does a hip hop draft work?

You're gonna find out.

We just pick a bunch of artists and whoever has the best (and cohesive) crew wins.

The way I did it once and might do it again is we all chose producers for the first round then drafted the artists that would sound best over that producer's style.
