This is what I'm thinking they should do. Don't give the Rock the WWE title. Have him face Undertaker at Wrestlemania, that way you got yourself a HUGE Wrestlemania match between two guys who don't really have any BIG past matches to date. Sure they've fought numerous times, but how many of those matches can you honestly remember? I can remember the Hell in a Cell match between Lesnar and Taker, but I can't remember any matches between the Rock and Taker. That's what I like about this.

Have Rock win though, and just like that, you completely waste that entire title reign that you used on Punk, that pretty much solidified his status as one of the top names in the WWE (number 2 to Cena imo), WWE has a huge opportunity to give themselves another big star and if they give this up to the Rock to do a Cena/Punk/Rock three way match at Wrestlemania (which is what I see them doing, I seriously doubt they're doing Punk vs Cena again, if they do then they are idiots. End of story. They are morons and they deserve to have TNA buy them out (which will never happen).

Punk's title reign is already solidified, he's losing to a legend at a big PPV. It sucks, but I don't know of anyone better to take it from him than Rock. I don't care if Rock isn't there every week, he's still the biggest draw in the business. 10x better than him losing to Cena, especially at Wrestlemania.

We'll get our CM Punk Wrestlmania Main Event moment next year. For now, just enjoy his last few days as champ after a legendary title reign. You all are like little boys clinging on to the final days of a first relationship, just let it go.

What? I did say that it would never happen, because there's absolutely no possible way it could. But they definitely deserve that fate.

But how is this helping them in the long run? The Rock wont be around after Wrestlemania. This is WWE's problem. They don't think long term and when they do, they don't do a very good job of planning it out. They should not be having this kind of title reign ending by having a guy who wont be around after Wrestlemania be the one to end it. That just isn't what you do.

If you can see the stupidity in this then I guess that's your fortune. As for me I'll continue to rant about it while I still have a reason to, unless the unlikely happens and Punk retains at RR like he should.

People need to get over this.. the wwe is business and as much is the IWC loves CM Punk he is still not as a big a of a cash cow to rock or cena.. and its not really close. They are going to put on their most profitable matches for mania...just accept it

Idiots? Rock-Cena set a record for ppv buys last year. They want to make money and put on a show that the masses want to see. I like Punk alot too, but the fact is he is not John Cena or the Rock at this point. There are far more mark/quasi fans buying tickets and ppvs than hardcore wrestling fans...they would be idiots to appease the smaller group.

How does a 500 day title run help them in the long run? It helps them in the long run because it's the Rock. He will be making national news and people might actually be talking about wrestling for a while. CM Punk? Who's that? Some dude with a bunch of tattoos? No thanks.

The Rock is mainstream, CM Punk isn't. Mainstream helps long term. It's pretty obvious Rock as champion is going to make them far much more money than CM Punk ever will, and that's what business is all about. Money. If you don't realize that then I don't know how to help you. We got our long, nice title reign. Just ****ing be happy about it.

The stupidity? LET IT GO. Title reigns end. Punk vs. Rock is the match of Punk's life, these guys are wrestlers. Sometimes they have to lose. It takes the Great One to take down Punk, that's something to cheer for. Be happy and move on with life. The next couple months will go fast and we'll then have Cena as champ. Look forward to that, I'm sure you'll be complaining then and wanting Rocky back as champ. Go ahead and savor tonight's final MNR with Punk champ, because it's going to be awhile.

Apparently doing good business means being an idiot.

I don't want to see long 500 day title reigns in today's WWE. People do no want to watch CM Punk wrestle John Cena over and over again. I don't want to watch CM Punk and the Shield wrestle Ryback three times. Shit got stale, very stale. And there's no one better to lose to in the wrestling business today than the Rock. It's ok losing to the biggest draw, because that legendary title reign could have been lost to a guy like Ryback. And that would have been something I could cry with the IWC about.

Punk / Rock is going to be one of the best matches of the year regardless of the outcome and I think Irving is really going to miss out on the excitement.

I hope you are right... i think if you give these guys the opportunity to tell a story they will have a great match.. if they decide to involve the shield i will be dissapointed.. i also worry that they may try to make the rock look even better for mania by making punk look bad.. i hope its not the case

They should just have Rock vs Punk vs Cena at Wrestlemania and and everyone wins. That also take out the awkwardness of having a rematch of the "Once in a lifetime match"

My feeling on Rock-Punk at the rumble

The Rock is going to come out and dominate... the shield is going to get involved to help punk... they are going to get Punk close to the win and the lights are going to go out... lights come on and the shield is wiped out and taker is standing in the middle of the ring staring down punk...punk turns around to run and gets rock bottomed...1,2,3 new champ the rock... cena wins the rumble to set up once in a lifetime #2... Punk w The Shield vs Taker at mania...book it

I think The Shield is aligned with Heyman and not Punk eventually leading to a Heyman and Punk split, but I could see what Roux just posted happening. Honestly, I don't really want to see Rock and Cena happening again, but that wouldn't be the end of the world and wouldn't be a reason to not watch the PPV.

Punk and Taker would be a great match, not so sure about Taker and Brock. If Taker is legit still hurting, Brock would not be good.
