Re: Bret Hart: "Triple H kinda overrated, never had a great match"

Ill go on the record as saying that HHH has had a bigger impact on pro wrestling than Bret Hart. Bret was the better in ring wrestler but i dont think he is give hunter nearly enough credit in that department. Also Bret was world champ for the wwe in a low point for the company, HHH was a main eventer/champion during the wwe's absolute peak another thing i dont think HHH gets nearly enough credit for

Bret's impact was huge. He put the then-WWF on his shoulders and carried them when the whole Hogan/Vince scandal was going on. And he helped usher in the Attitude era (something a lot of people don't seem to remember). You're forgetting how big Bret was at his peak, not just here, but worldwide.

The wwe's numbers were brutal in the early 90's.. this is the doink the clown, repo man era of the wwe.. as a matter of fact ric flair has happily pointed out this fact several times in his on going feud with bret. Ironically Bret has thrown that fact out there when ripping on shawn michaels title reigns in the mid 90's.

I am a fan of Bret Hart, always have been, but the more he spouts off about other guys in an attempt to make himself look better the more i lose respect for him.

Arda Ocal spoke with Bret "Hitman" Hart after his comments about Triple H was published everywhere.

Ocal asks what he makes of these comments gaining a large amount of attention. Hart stands his ground, even goes further with his stance:

- Gives Triple H vs Undertaker a grade: "I said I'd give (Taker vs HHH at WrestleMania 28) a 4-out-of-10. I think that was generous." and goes on to explain why.

- "I wouldn't put him in the top 1000 great wrestlers. To me he was very mediocre."
Bret continues to bash HHH, make himself look like a jackass

I wonder if Bret will ever come back to RAW to screw up his lines again

Retired Bret has really tarnished his image with me as a former fan. Being Canadian, he was a wrestling icon for me. But now, that's nothing but a long distant memory.

I remember watching a Kevin Nash shoot interview where he talked about going to Brets house and he described it as a shrine to the hitman and it was one of the creepiest things he had ever seen. Bret definitely has issues

I think the stroke screwed him up more than just physically.

Sadly i think you are right, its just so odd that after supposedly mending fences with the wwe and that company paying bret over and over again to appear on their programming that he would come out and slander the guy that will basically be running the show sooner rather than later. I know there are alot of people that aren't HHH fans but for him to be so critical for almost no reason screams mental incompetence to me. You want to say HHH isnt a top 10 wrestler of all time fine but saying Hunter isn't a top 1000 wrestler is a joke of epic proportions
