Not sure if the intent was to compare him to Lamb, but literally there’s no comparison between the two.
There is...neither of them have the physical tools to play at that level. Certainly Lamb is more accomplished in a low-major league but both have about the same prospects to play in the NBA. The NBA is a freak league, guys like Pickett or Lamb have no shot. Granted, I know why Lamb is there and going through the process, at least he's got a body of work to fall back on including in the NCAA's. Pickett thing was a bad move and we'll see if he gets another chance to have these type of workouts. He was completely over-matched and guys were giving him fits all over the court. My sense is, he would have had a better shot to impress someone as a junior once he got stronger, improved the shooting.

Rarely after bombing a first impression like this will you get another shot.

While I agree that Picket has no shot in the NBA, I think he had visions of grandeur after Sports Illustrated called him a draft prospect.

Mostly agree but Lamb at least has the size (6'6'' or 6'7'') strength, and defensive ability where if he was able to develop his SF/Wing skills he's at the appropriate size for his theoretical position in the NBA.

Undersized SG that can't really hit from 3 is literally a dime a dozen and the least needed spot on an NBA roster. Also, I didn't realize Pickett was only a freshman- seems like this is something he should have waited until at least after his SO year to participate in.

Re: America East NBA Workouts

According to their website, Joe Cremo is getting a NBA workout with the Washington Wizards. I thought that ship has sailed after a sub-par season at Villanova, but hey: you never know.
