Hey...don't be dissing the Spiders.

We're going to Georgetown, they visited us last year.

Wake is coming to the Robins. We went there last year.

Re: Around the League

The last P5 we lured into the Reilly Center was Mississippi State during the Nicholson years. It isn't for a lack of effort, for heaven's sake, but it takes two to tango. Getting them to come to Buffalo or Rochester isn't even accepted in most cases.

While VCU has had some really good series, a few of those were contractually obligated by the P5 after the Rams lost head coaches. Alabama, Texas, and LSU come to mind. Virginia and Wichita were great gets for them, though.

Wake is different. We have had a home and home since what? 1969?

St. Mary's? JAF, you're off your rocker lately.

Granted, SMC is not a regional H&H with a MAAC juggernaut, but you guys would be making out with each other for this series

So do you or do you not think St. Mary's is a P5 home/home?

EASY, DUDE!

We only make out with each other when we schedule CAA H&H series.

Of course I know that SMC is not a member of a P5 conference. I was only saying that last year the Flyer’s started H&H with two good P5 teams plus finished up a series with SMC. SMC was a good scheduling move and provided a good away venue

Re: Around the League

Maybe this happens all the time; but Duke has zero OOC road games this year.

If you are doing this, you should include Big East teams as well.

Re: Around the League

Doesn't this entire conversation miss the big, overarching, unavoidable point?

No matter who we play, where and how much we win, we, as a conference, will never get a fair shot at these bids. End of story. The target is constantly moving, and even if we think we've hit it, they'll say it moved and we missed.

Iím not sure I agree with this. There have been A10 teams the past 5 years that werenít sweating it out on the bubble. The problem is this league doesnít change. I recall a video where Phil was patting himself on the back for scheduling a home and away with William and Mary. WTF? W&M is a buy game. Too many programs operate the same way they did 10 years ago. If the A 10 wants to be a major basketball conference it has to act like one.
