Re: Around the League

Petey is a Mason fan so I do wonder what their record is since joining since he is throwing shade at the northern Rams.

Took me a while to figure out what he was counting, but it looks like he's including conference tourney wins for VCU to get them to 100 (which makes sense). But he didn't do that for Fordham. I've got Fordham at 103 wins. Mason has 44 in their almost-6 seasons in the league.

A shade disingenuous.

Wouldn't Rhody be the northern rams? I always thought it Fordham that had the Rams mostly likely to be forgotten.

You are correct. I try not to venture above the Mason/Dixon line unless I want a cheesesteak.

URI's Cyril Langevine named A-10 Player of the Week. Dayton's Obi Toppin is again named A-10 Rookie of the Week.

Fordham's Jesse Bunting suffered a stroke, but fortunately finds himself in stable condition. Keep the young man in your thoughts!

That's really too bad, ace. Stable is good, hope for no permanent effects.

You seem to enjoy these little geographical and historical asides, AA, so I will point out that, assuming you mean Philadelphia for your meal, you are venturing both "above" and to the east of the Mason-Dixon line for your cheesesteak. It's not as generally known that the line takes a 90 degree turn and forms the western border of Delaware with Maryland.

My favorite cheesesteak is in east Philly but sjhawk has tried to get me to expand my cheesesteak map. What do you consider east Philly?

By the way, that question is a set-up for a res witty comment.

I've never heard anyone refer to any part of Philly as East Philly, so now I'm wondering if you're just referring to South Jersey.
