Nuebauer and Ferry deserve it more than Wade or Phil. Unfortunately, this is not the way the process works.

Definitely think you could make a case for both of them. Let's see how the season ends. If the season ended today I give it to Martelli, Schmidt or Wade.

Archie's a great coach but I like guys that exceed expectations and who turnaround teams.

How so? Wade has a team that was projected to finish 5th in 1st place. He lost his entire incoming class to Texas, Minnesota and UNC. Larrier transferred to UConn. He then picked up Billbury a 5th year transfer and Hamdy a JUCO transfer. Most of his primary scoring graduated. I am not sure why you would say that is the way the process works when mentioning Wade and Martelli. SJU was projected to be 7th. I think both have done a fine job. Neubauer and Ferry are doing well but I am not sure why they would be above Wade, Martelli or Miller at this point. I think it is a three way race right now. Schmidt can also get in the mix too.

Shoot I failed to mention Lonergan and he is a heck of a coach. The A10 has some good ones. Some are rebuilding and others are maintaining success.

Archie might have the best team from 1 through 8 in the conference. He deserves credit because he obviously put this team together. It doesn't make him coach of the year.

If you truly believe that VCU and Duquesne were on equal ground starting the season you are being foolish. I understand how this works though, Wade deserves National Coach of the Year, VCU's starting five deserves to be on one of the three all conference teams, and the Stu should be ranked as the top college basketball venue in the world.

Seriously though, the Gold Rush should be ranked in the top three of some category. You're tops in the league there.

Woah, where is all that coming from? Ferry has done a fine job but so has Wade.

Not off the top of my head, so I'd go with the guy from GW if I were you.

I'd vote Wade for COY. VCU hasn't missed a beat without Shaka.

Good for the conference that the legitimate COY candidate to hot-seat ratio is something like 6:1.

Marshall Wood, Jorgansen, Tillman, Eric James are a few that come to mind.

Wade would get my vote now for your reasons. Ferry deserves it over Neubauer. Neubauer is doing a good job but we do not have a signature conference win and have been hammered in 4 of our 7 losses. That is not a coach of the year resume.
