The league officials are hypocrites. They known damn well this happens all the time, they created the rule. Didn't Payton do the same a while back?

If they are concerned about it, make a rule that prevents players from doing that

^ good point, and i don't think thorn could pull off a better trade than this for an aging kidd. but if we're letting go of kidd to rebuild, what sense does it have to trade for mike miller for expiring deals?

If the trade doesnt go through because of Stack, this is a joke. Things like this happen all the time. Theres no room in NJ for Stack, so I dont see the suprise by anyone. Chances are its guys like Popavitch moaning about how it isnt fair.

If Cuban wants this deal to happen, he will throw in KVH, simple as that.

Re: Magloire + Boki + something for Mike Miller?

but will he throw in kvh for the combined salary of george and stackhouse? i think that's around $10 million. that's way too much. if he still trades stackhouse to the nets, stern may block stack from coming back to the mavs, in that case, the mavs might not agree to do the trade at all

I think the Nets should do the Mike Miller trade. The Dallas offer as of now is still not set in stone. We must move on with or without Kidd and we need to think about the team. We cannot pass up the oppurtunity to get Miller because of the Kidd trade holdup.

I don't think they'd be able to do anything until after the all-star break.

Supposedly Boone might be involved in the trade. Thoughts?

No. The Nets have many alternatives to use.

Re: Magloire + Boki + something for Mike Miller?

Is there any new news to get our hopes up for Mike Miller? With KVH holding things up, there may not be time to get the deal down. JKidd better get on the phone with KVH and offer his house and chauffer for the next month.

As I originally understood things, Memphis would want those 2 1st round Dallas picks to make it work.
Now that we learn that Wright is still in the revised JKidd deal, it makes me wonder what Thorn is up to as the scrubs he is taking don't even match up to Wright?

Does Miller have any no trade clause? Doubt it. Regarding the minutes for Miller - he could have all of Wright's and most of Boki's plus some at the point position for about 30 minutes off the bench. Lets just hope that Thorn knows what he is doing. I would have preferred he linked the deals together.

Re: Magloire + Boki + something for Mike Miller?

Nachbar, Magloire and a 1st round pick for Miller make it happen.
The Pacer's offer is Ike Diougu (1 year remaining) and Marquis Daniels
(2 remaining).

Re: Magloire + Boki + something for Mike Miller?

The Nets deal is better simply because their owner says he doesn't want any big contracts. Thats three expiring contracts going over to them
