doesn't that make you wonder about the future of JC? That's another PG/SG. Plus Rose spends alot of time at SG. We all know that Jerry likes to alwasy draft big guys every draft and I would have thought for sure he would have gone with a SF because of the uncertainty of Eddies toe and than he always likes a PF every draft. It sure makes you wonder about JC's future.

your right... and i hate that.

i don't know what Crawfords future is exactly with the Bulls.. but at the moment, I still very much want him to be in the Bulls future.

i mean, he could be a great 2nd unit point.
he could play 2 guard against starters and backups.
he's a big guard with untapped potential... and most indications are that Krause loves em...

but these moves, these moves...

Roger Mason is the next Trenton Hassell. Classic Krause pick. Looks to have scored well in every field JK would test for. Does make you wonder about Crawfords security. Maybe it's the first time Krause is actually going stand pat

I'm not impressed

Mason shot 40.6% from the field last year. Hassel shot 58%. Mason will not be on the roster in a year's time.

Think Krause is tired of stockpiling potential and is looking for defensive minded role-players or guys who may be a more complete (though less amazing) package for our championship team?

Also looks like we got another Fizer in Lonny Baxter! A short, slow PF! At least we waited until #44 to take him!

Maybe this is a sign that Krause will be taking offers for both Crawford and Fizer. I was really wanting a SF. I really hope Erob and Rose stay healthy because I don't know if I can handle watching Hoiberg or Hassell guarding 6-8 and 6-9 guys again.

Yes, they have similar builds, but they are nothing alike. Baxter can rebound and defend, plus he is a hard worker. I can't believe I'm defending this draft. It was awesome....

Drafting Roger Mason doesn't mean Crawford is gone. It means Travis Best and AJ Guyton are gone. It also means that Hoiberg is going to the IR. Mason can play....

Roger Mason, Jr. is a very solid pick. He's AJ Guyton with size and the ability to play the point in a pinch. Although he didn't shoot a high percentage from the field last season, make no mistake - this dude can shoot -- and pass -- and defend.

Baxter is Micheal Ruffin with an offensive game. He won't be looked upon to be a scorer, but he at least will be able to put the ball in the hole, where Ruff couldn't put it in Lake Michigan.

The Bulls will listen to offers for both Crawford and Fizer, however, I believe, in order for someone to get JCraw, they better come to the table with something very good. Fizer on the other hand, could be had for a more reasonable price.

Look for the Bulls to make a serious push for Popeye Jones.

Mason shot better as fresh and soph

Took a look at his stats for his entire carrer at Virginia.

Shot 43% as a frosh.
Shot 47% as a soph. 44% from 3.

Now we are talking!!!

Krause said that Jwill said that he was the toughest competitor that he faced. Worth a gamble in the second round.

Maybe the decrease his Junior season was because they made him the PG. Maight have left him with the ball in his hand when he needed to jack up a shot due to time expiring? I like the idea of having Crawford, Jay, Rose, Hassell, and Mason (maybe even Freddy?) behind the arc making sure that Eddy, Tyson, and Fizer have plenty of room to work inside. Also, those five perimeter players have all shown an ability to PASS THE ROCK. Imagine the breaks this team could run!

Still, would have liked to see a long SF come our way.

amen to that!

Rose, as talented as he is, will probably not be thought of as a "long" SF... Robinson probably qualifies... but he's still a total question mark

i kinda think that Grizzard might have been a more 'useful' pick... at least in the sense of filling out the roster

the pick of Roger Mason seems redundant -- the Bulls now have 5 players at the 6'4"-6'5" range who can shoot
Hassell
Norm Richardson
Froiberg
Crawford
and now Mason

that's a full third of our roster!!

i suppose Norm Richardson is ancient history... Guyton no longer has a place either

Mason isn't redundant because he is a multi-position player like Crawford. He is actually very similar to Jamal, without as many PG skills... Hoiberg is IR material and Richardson is gone... In fact, all of our FA's are likely gone...

I'm kinda glad we didn't draft Grizzard. There is a reason he fell so low. Have you noticed that he has basically been the same player for 3 years? He hasn't improved, which might show his true character and unwillingness to work hard. Krause takes good character players.....
