Corny as it may sound, there seems to be a bond forming between some pretty good basketball players, all of whom have very bright futures ahead of them. I understand that Jamal, Tyson and Eddy were all present at JWill's workout today. I also understand that Tyson took it upon himself to visit Jay in his hotel last night. Its becoming apparent that our young Bulls want to see Jay added to their group. And that includes Jamal, who truly wants to remain in Chicago because of the close friendships he's formed with Tyson, Eddy Trenton and ERob.

Gettinbranded, from what I've been told, it was almost imperative that Krause make those positive remarks about Jamal when he did. It seems that JC has a rather fragile ego, and with all this whoopla about JWill Krause needed to make sure JC knew he was still loved. Last year everyone counted the days until Jamal was activated. He was supposed to be the missing piece (well, maybe one of the pieces in addition to the injured Robinson). Everybody loved his game.

Now with the prospect of drafting Williams becoming more of a reality each day, people are beginning to overanalyze JC's game and find reasons for replacing him with the new guy. Where there was only praise for Jamal's potential, now there is criticism. Yes, Krause very much needed to prop up Jamal's ego at this time. And when you come down to it, that may be all there really is to Jerry's statements.

As i read that article today and saw the picture. I took into account all the talk on most of the bulls boards about Crawford being gone in Jay was drafted. But did you notice who was there to meet Jay and work out with him? The three C's. Crawford is still one of the fixtures of this team. If not, then someone else would have been there. IMO. I take that as a good sign.

Good Pick-up Dickie, I think you're absolutely right. I remember BillC being asked a question about all the nicknames that JCraw has with the team - like Franchise, and J-Crossover, etc. He remarked that that kind of talk wasn't important - that what he did was more important. He then made a general comment about how people who like to boast are often covering up some type of insecurity. - or something to that effect.

I think Craw's ego does factor into this, and understandably so. I think it's important for Krause to make these public assurances of JC's future (ie putting up pictures of him and JWill talking on their official website) with the team. I hope he also does the same in person with BillC.

Seeing those pictures made me smile, I must admit. Can you imagine the ferocity of practices with these two guys going at each other - in much the same way that Jordan and Pipen did? Having one another on the same team may drive both of these guys to be more successful. I'd say JWill's job interview is going very well.
