That would be a mistake imo.

This is getting crazy. Apparently, the AD wanted to fire Richt last season and get Dan Mullen but was overruled by the university president.

The worst part about that was last season wasn't that bad! 10-3, finished #9

If there is legitimate dysfunction in the program then OK, fire the guy. But if it's just because he isn't Nick Saban or Urban Meyer then that is just dumb. Georgia can still finish 10-3 again this year (while having the worst QB play in 15+ years) but it's insane to think that should get you fired.

Totally unrelated: Georgia has a chance to sign the best WR in the country and the second best QB. I don't want to mess that up!

Not just high school athletes signing committments are affected. A local high school coach (St. Joe's Prep that won the state title two out of the last three years) and an assistant from Baylor quit their jobs to take a position on Manny's staff at Temple. He was talking to an OC candidate Sunday morning when the Richt thing went down. Now those two coaches are at the mercy of the new head coach at Temple. It's understandable that he wanted to stay at Miami. But his decision had materal consequences
