Jeff Withey - C - Kansas

Only seen some of him in the Final Four. Projected as a mid second rounder.

Any chance this guy turns into a decent defensive 5? From what I've seen hes not much of a rebounder, but can block well. Haven't seen enough to see if hes a good defensive anchor or not.

Not many legit 5's in the draft this year, so I'm interested in what peoples opinions on him are.

I mean, he's worth a look in the second round, because we all miss Scott Pollard. However, I mean, if Cole Aldrich can't get on the floor at the next level.....

re: Jeff Withey - C - Kansas

Its time for Withey to be put in the conversation of top bigs in this 2013 draft. He's in the second tier, but he has grown by leaps and bounds each year. Averaging 13.4 and 8.6rpg with an outstanding 4.0bpg as of right now. Withey knows his role, and is a really good shotblocker with legit size. I think he's played his way into the bottom half of the first round.

re: Jeff Withey - C - Kansas

Withey needs to get more involved in the Kansas offense. He's a player, but some of their sets look like they're trying to keep him from getting the ball down low.

He is what he is. A big man patrolling the paint and getting garbage. A great thing about Withey is that he shoots 70% from the FT line. Big men collect fouls and Withey makes you pay unlike many 7 footers.
