Evan Gattis to Houston for 3 minor leaguers

Not really that surprising since the Braves have Christian Bettancourt who is a really high regarded catching prospect. It does look very much like the Braves are going to blow it up and start over though.

This is why they need to install the dh in the national league. This is a talented hitter that had nowhere to play in the field and it basically forced the Braves hand into moving him.

Re: Evan Gattis to Houston for 3 minor leaguers

That wasn't why the Braves were forced into moving him. They could have put him at catcher or LF and he would have been serviceable. No, they are just trying to do a full rebuild and improve their minor league system.

Craig Kimbrel needs to be next. No point in having an elite closer on a bad team.

This team is going to be very bad. Freddie Freeman could lead the NL in intentional walks.
