Scottie Pippen should not be the MVP over Hakeem in 94. No freaking way

The Kidd over Duncan argument always amuses me.

Re: Your votes for MVP since 1990

I'll go back as far as I can remember watching basketball -

2009: LeBron James, easily, no questions asked.
2008: Kobe/LeBron/Paul, pick a name out of a hat. It was a tossup for me as an objective fan, and a vote for Kobe from me as a Laker fan.
2007: Kobe. Honorable mention to LeBron and Dirk.
2006: Kobe, nobody else really deserved it. I guess you could throw Wade in there as an honorable mention.
2005: Shaq, sorry Nash.
2004: Kevin Garnett, don't get me wrong, I can't stand Kevin Garnett. By far my least favorite player of all time. But the man was unreal that year.
2003: Duncan. The Kidd argument was silly.
2002: Duncan, easily.
2001: Shaq, AI wasn't half the player that Shaq was, and had nowhere near the impact of a prime Shaq, nobody did.
2000: Shaq, probably the easiest MVP of all time.
1999: Tim Duncan, probably easier to say in hindsight considering he was the Finals MVP, but I think that he's always been better than Malone.

Re: Your votes for MVP since 1990

1993: Jordan
1994: Olajuwon-Robinson
1995: Robinson (Olajuwon was better in the play-offs)
1996: Jordan-Pippen co-MVPs
1997: Jordan-Malone
1998: Jordan-Malone
1999: Duncan
2000: Duncan-Shaq
2001: Shaq
2002: Duncan-Shaq
2003: Duncan
2004: Garnett-Duncan
2005: Shaq
2006: Nowitzki
2007: Nash (funny how they gave them the award in the wrong years)
After that it has been LeBron.

2001 Iverson was the worst most heinous crime against humanity and nature MVP award of all time

Shaq should have 2 more MVP's than he's got.

Thought Wade should've been in the discussion more last year, possibly winner.

Yeah Shaq's been robbed multiple times.

Wade? Last year? In '09 I could see where you're coming from but '10 was all LeBron.

First glance I mostly agree but I'd add:

2008: Chris Paul
2009+ LeBron James but I think Rose has a great chance of winning this season.

Nash in 06 was much worse.

And you actually think that. Like you honestly, truely believe that.

That is why I'm done posting on here. You're an idiot. So many of you are just delusional morons that it makes this place unpostable.

I came here to check in on fantasy league and made the mistake to look around again.
R-stars opinion on a Hill, Nash and 1st for Hibbert rumor

disagree because the choice of a different more deserving player was not as obvious in that case - you can say KG or Lebron or some other player deserved it over Nash and I'd probably agree with that

but as a matter of degree Shaq was clear cut and obvious and they went another way for god knows why

Shaq was hurt because he had Kobe and Phil and they failed to win 60 games. He also missed time due to injury. Iverson had a defensive team around him so it made his scoring more valuable. Not saying Iverson deserved it of course.

Kobe was more deserving than either of those guys you listed in 06.

- He was the most outstanding player statistically

- He was the one guy you wanted on your team more than any other player in a do or die game all other things be equal

- He was the one player that if you took said candidate off his respective team they would struggle the most to win ten games

Re: Your votes for MVP since 1990

the Lakers of 2001 were favorites to win the title, which they did losing only 1 game in the play-offs, they won the second most games in the west (or of anyone that year) and Shaq missed less time than Iverson did - Shaq played in 74 games, Iverson played in 71

I didn't say Iverson deserved it over Shaq.
