The Bulls have won 3 straight since benching Rondo. It seems that Rondo's time with the Bulls is coming to an end and it is possible that his time as a starter in the NBA is over as well.
Rondo has responded much more professionally to his move to the bench than his reputation led me to expect. He seems to have accepts the reasoning for the move and made some effort to correct those weaknesses in his game that caused the move, specifically his effort on defense. This has led to him replacing Grant as the backup point guard, behind Carter-Williams.
This has worked out pretty well. In the game against the Pelicans, Rondo played over 19 minutes, with 6 points on 2 of 3 from three point land along with 5 assists. Carter-Williams played over 28 minutes, scoring 11 points.
Carter-Williams is a better defender, but does not add much to the Bulls struggles from the 3 point line (currently ranked 30th in the NBA).
