Jeremy Lin (Harvard)

He's been on the front page of DraftExpress.com for a couple of days and he dropped 30 against UCONN. He's the only player in the nation to be top 10 in all statistical categories for their conference and I'm sure I'm missing a couple of things.

So he's a senior at Harvard... Other than being Asian (and if he makes the league he will be the first Asian American to be in the NBA) another thing that has me interested and cheering for him is the fact that he used to go to high school in the same school district as me and I have a couple of friends that know him.

Anyone think he'll go far in the NBA? Sun Yue is a failure and Yi Jianlian is somewhat decent and Yao is being hurt my injuries.

Right now I'm seeing more of a Patrick Ewing Jr. career for him... Get drafted because of who he is and not the player and never do much in the league. I hear from a friend (whose brother is good friends with him) that if he doesn't make the NBA he wants to be a Pastor so I don't know how bad he wants to be in the league.

Re: Jeremy Lin (Harvard)

He'll have a hard time getting drafted I think. Combo guard generally requires a lot of athleticism and from what I've read about him and the clips for youtube he doesn't seem that athletic. Unless he can learn to become a PG or develops a solid 3pt shot it'll be hard for him to find a role in the league. He's also a senior so I think it's too late for him.

If he goes back to Asia and maybe play in one of the leagues there he could be a huge star though.

His recent game against Georgetown certainly didn't help him any. It seems to me like he has too many question marks surrounding him. Probably a longshot.

He's no Shannon Brown, but he's actually pretty athletic and has toughness. Something tells me this kid will not only get drafted, but he might have a pretty respectable career as a pro.

I saw him in person at the UCONN game and he seemed to be very athletic. He had 2-3 very impressive dunks and another 2-3 impressive finishes on tough drives.

Lin with 21 on 8-9 shooting tonight against Seattle. Fellow low-major prospect Charles Garcia had 19 points and 10 boards.

Re: Jeremy Lin (Harvard)

I think he is surely better than Yue but his height maybe an issue, I believe Yue is about 6foot6
