Really? I feel its a mix of Lebron and Lamar Odom. Blake was a good ball handler for his size, but nowhere near this type of court vision

I saw Simmons when LSU toured Australia a few months back. Has incredible vision for a guy that size.

Not many guys you can compare him to really. Odom would be one, Lebron the other. Not sure he has the defense of a Pippen. I'll be surprised if he isn't #1 though.

The 30 second shot clock is inflating numbers everywhere this year, but yeah, he's really good. Why the hell did he go to LSU though? I don't think I can handle watching them more than a few times this year.

AS UD40 said, Godfather. He did say if that connection wasn't there, he'd have gone to Duke. What I don't get, is why has a foreigner, he needs to go to college in the first place

This might be an odd thought, but he's basically the marriage of Lamar Odom and Ricky Rubio in my mind right now. Not sure what type of ceiling that means he has, but I'm excited to see it.

Re: Ben Simmons - F - LSU

^ I can see that. Not sure he will be a massive scorer (say, 16-18), but he's a legit triple double threat every night.

Needs to work on that J though, big time. Only 4pts today against NCState (1-6fg, 2-5ft). Did have 16 boards and 10 dimes, 3 steals and 3 blocks though. Unique player.

I echo the sentiments of whoever said it's hard to watch LSU. I've watched a small sample size, but I have seen maybe one set run to get Simmons in a position to operate in the post. He's better as a ball-handler in P'n'R situations then as a screen/pop guy. Simmons is getting his, but you would think LSU would run more/better action for him.

Ben Simmons is the only major conference player in the last 20 seasons with at least 40 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists & 5 steals in a game.

Re: Ben Simmons - F - LSU

Without an effective jumper I struggle to see him really reaching superstar status. He will b a multiple all star due to his popularity, asg done by fan votes, but I believe his peak is a poor mans lebron from brons first few years. Won't make an all nba team dos he's a 6 10 pg basically.

Re: Ben Simmons - F - LSU

Announced today that Simmons is ineligible for the Wooden Award due to his failure to maintain at least a 2.0 GPA. Woof.

Won't affect his draft status at all but still a perception red flag in the debate on how good he will be. Then again, we already knew he was dumb when he committed to LSU.
