It’s possible. There are not many schedules left to release and we haven’t even posted the ones our opponents confirmed themselves. I’m hoping that we are going to get another interesting game but there’s 41 schedules left to release for there to be a surprise.
We have a partial one released but why we have anything other than the league schedule up I don’t know. I say that because we have included some confirmed games but not others.
Maybe UMBC wants to schedule some tough games and the desired opponents are saying no? Nobody wants to see "UMBC does it again as the Tigers go down by 26."
So looking at the other 7 teams' schedules for the Jamaica Tournament, the big schools except Utah St are playing two small schools, Utah St is playing only one small school, EMU (listed as a small school) and Nichols are playing only one big school, and NCA&T are playing two big schools. Something tells me UMBC got double-booked, originally scheduled to go to Utah St for that first weekend of the season, but instead has to go to FGCU for the return game.

In watching the soccer game against Liberty (leading 3-1 with just a few minutes to go), Paul Mittermier just said that the basketball team's official first game is against FGCU on the 9th, so I'm wondering if that Nov 5 game is an exhibition.
Lol we were the very last one to release a schedule and ended up with three sub-D1 schools as a result. I know Manhattan pulled out at the end but I guess we struggle to find other peer schools to play us.
Great news for us. Everyone is now eligible to play. And gives us a legit PG to put KJ at SG or vice versa.
