The Sixers trade Aaron MCKIE, Sam CLANCY to the Dallas Mavericks for Greg BUCKNER, Adrian GRIFFIN and a future #1-pick.
Why it makes sense:
The Sixers want Buckner, but they don't want to use their exeption, so they have to trade.
They give up a solid player and fan-favorite in McKie, but he's also overpayed and "just" a bench-player.
In Buckner and Griffin they get 2 players for their rotation.

Thoughts?

Mckie's too much for both of the players. He always picks up the scoring when AI's not in or injured. He can play both guard spots and SF. He's much better than Harpring, but the Sixers need a quality player off of the bench.

Also, it's reported that the Sixers have agreed with Greg Buckner to a 6 year, 18 mil deal. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=phi But the Mavs want some kind of compensation.
