13 games for the A-10 to set us into December with a bang. Fordham is a 16.5 point underdog going on the road to face Harvard at 1 pm and Harvard will look to avenge their loss to the Rams from last year. UMass is a 1.5 point favorite in a big game for them at 2 pm. Temple hopes to go to 5-0 as they host Wagner and hope not to get involved in a trap game before the big Villanova/Duke week ahead. Duquesne hopes to move to 4-3 on the year hosting Maine at 2 pm. Rhode Island will try to get out of last place in the league as they host a 4-1 Vermont team at home. Butler is a 16 point favorite at home playing Ball St also at 2 pm.

Xavier is a 4.5 point underdog facing Matt Painter and the Purdue Boilermakers at 2:15 on Big 10 Network. St. Joes is a 6.5 point underdog hoping to get another win over a ranked Creighton team at 3 pm on ESPN3. Richmond is favored by 11.5 taking on 3-3 Wake Forest at 6 pm. Charlotte is a 7 point favorite hoping to go 7-0 as they face a 5-0 East Carolina squad at 7 pm. St Bonaventure is favored by 10.5 hoping to hand Buffalo 2 straight losses to A-10 schools. VCU is favored by 7.5 taking on a pretty good Belmont team at 7 pm. Finally Dayton is favored by 22 points trying to shake off a home loss to Weber St facing the Huskies of Northern Illinois at 8 pm.

How many >s is each team going to win by? Or are we only going to find out after the games?

There is some talk from Shaka that starting point guard and senior captain Darius Theus won't play tonight for VCU against Belmont as he twisted his knee against Stetson. He doesn't have a ligament tear or anything like that, but he may be kept out as a precaution.

That may be just coach speak, but if he indeed does not play the VCU-Belmont game will be a lot more interesting.

umass will win today. book it.

classic letdown game for miami, coupled with the fact that we are tough at home lead to minuteman victory.

look for putney to have a big game.

I think someone's world view may be crumbling due to how the underachieving Minutemen are playing. I hope they win though. I still think Umass is a top 6 team in this league, even with their weaknesses. They are just too talented and athletic to not be up there.

Agree with relief about the crumbling world view.
I'm looking forward to the game today, will learn a lot about the team. They seem to have played in a more disciplined way against Siena, even though the shots didn't fall. I understand that. They were thinking about what they were supposed to do, and thinking ain't good for shooting. I hope today, back home, they won't have to think. There's a little bit of snowfall this morning in honor of the visitors. I'm impressed that Vegas thinks it will be close. I hope they're right.
And is Wake that awful? That Richmond is 15 pt favorite?

Hey, welcome to a "Throwback" Saturday, harken back to days of yesteryear when the college hoops season started December 1.

Surprises me because in the little bit I have seen of Purdue I have not been impressed.

At the half, of UMass' 35 shot attempts, 20 have been from three. We just aren't strong enough in the shooting department to do that against this team or any team really.

How can everyone see this except DK?

Man, these BTN guys are brutal. I expected some bias but they make the A-10 sound like Pony League. I think we played ok until the 3 fouls on JRob. Semaj not looking like he's intimidated by anything.
Let get after it in the 2nd half!!!!
