Idk, I think many are perfectly happy to sever that connection with the greatest player the program has ever seen.Ouch, Hawks. Whatever type of player Jameer Jr. winds up being, this is salt in a fresh wound. Big time middle finger by the Nelsons. Lange had better win quickly, as something tells me the Hawk faithful won’t take kindly to this.
He was planning to prep a year and reclassifying to 2020 when he committed to SJU. When things changed, so did that plan.Should be an upgrade from Shandon Brown. For some reason I thought Jameer Jr. was a 2020 recruit but I guess he's 2019. Jamion Christian is not messing around.
Agree that his time in Foggy Bottom could be limited but hopefully he sticks around long enough to bring us back from irrelevancy. The whole Lonergan saga and the decisions made by our former AD left the program a shell of its former self.Christian is a mover and a shaker. A few months ago, Siena folk thought the guy walked on water; now, though, they consider him a scummy carpetbagger (they also can’t fathom JC taking the GW job, which many there consider inferior or, at best, lateral to SC).
From the outside, he seems like a really good evaluator of players’ ability, yet makes no bones about climbing the D1 ladder. Being a DMV guy probably accelerated the anticipated departure from Loudenville, but any success JC has with GW will probably have him
glancing pretty quickly at Maryland, Georgetown, Virginia, etc. (should the jobs open up).
However he does, it’s more than likely that GW will play a really fun brand of up tempo ball once his recruits make up the roster.
