Bit of a head-scratcher as he averaged 1 & 1 in 8 games each of his two years at Mount St Mary's. The first year was under Christian. Sit one, play two 6-10 center from DC's Sidwell.

Ehhhh... stranger things have worked out. Christian must like the kid. Maybe he's had injury issues?

Anyhow, most coaches don't play 13 guys, so if Stallings is a good kid, teammate, and student, then a program can do a lot worse with a 6'10" kid at or near the end of the bench. Five fouls and scout team size.

What's the corresponding move for GW? Signing Harris puts them one over the scholarship limit, assuming Ace Stallings is getting a full ride.

Not sure. I'm guessing at this point Ace Stallings is coming as a non-scholarship player. Doubt JC would use up two scholarships on players that have to sit out this season. GW is too thin of a team to do that.

Christian was playing Jameer Nelson Jr with .7-ish offensive rating and .35-ish usage rate as lead guard and then brought in Armel Potter when that plan ended in a couple of smackdowns. Mazzulla (originally from Rhode Island), is a big team player and leader, but unfortunately not a good 3pt shooter, a four-letter word in our current offensive scheme.

GW got a commitment from 2021 6’9” Tafara Gapare, a 6’9” SF from New Zealand. Not much on him but some NZ press and videos, but Evan Daniels says he’s a four star recruit. Here he is (#14) playing against Strive for Greatness, Bronny James’ loaded AAU Team.
