I'll try to remember to bump this thread in FIVE years.

Apparently Eric Johnson's younger brother, Evan, is highly ranked for his class. I think rankings this early are pointless, but we'll see how he develops and whether he considers following his brother.

Yup, it's been a very slow news day.

BTW, Johnson is wearing BU shorts in this video.

Gosh I hope we still aren't in the Patriot League in 2020. ;)

If it helps, its actually spelled Luke Kolaja. He's 6'9 and PF for Playaz (who just won the Nike EYBL 15u session 1 championship last weekend) and plays hs for Montclair Kimberley. He averaged 14 pts 8 rbs and 3 blocks as a freshman starting on varsity this past winter. Excited to get the offer from BU and will camp up there this summer.

Cheddi Mosely played for the Playaz too, so unless there has been coaching turnover we should already have a relationship with the team. Luke will probably get higher offers over the next couple of years, but I think offering early can make a difference. I'll definitely track his progress in high school.

Miles Brewster, a 6'4 SG out of Brooklyn playing his high commits to BU out of the Hotchkiss School. He is ranked 31st overall in New England and 10th in Connecticut by NERR. Also, had offers from Brown, Bucknell, Lehigh, Yale, Dartmouth, Central Connecticut State, Elon, NJIT, and Canisius according to VC.

Anthony Morales, a 6'8 SG (according to VC) that probably projects as a SF or PF out of Beaver Country Day School in Newton commits to BU with Vermont our primary competition but other offers from Bryant, Brown, Canisius and Mount Saint Mary's. Morales is ranked 34th in the New England class of 2020 rankings and 13th in Massachusetts. Welcome Anthony!

Morales has good length, nice shooting stroke, and a little handle. If he bulks up he can be a very good player.

Caelan 'CJ' Jones, a 6'5 SG out of Vermont Academy by way of Los Angeles commits to BU. CJ Jones had offers from Army, Siena, Niagara, Fairfield, Sacred Heart, Penn, Bucknell, Vermont, South Dakota and Holy Cross. I wasn't able to find his ranking on NERR which might be due to him transferring in this year from Loyola HS in LA. Regardless, he seems to be a fairly well-regarded low-major player.

Welcome CJ!

Looks like we finished out the 2020 class provided there aren't any transfers.

Jones looks like a shooter. I think next year every person on the team will be capable of hitting a three-pointer. Expect a spread out offense, which will give space to McCoy, Vilarino, and Whyte to drive.

Here are the three Q&A's for the upcoming class, plus another from an additional player joining the team next year in Andrew Patnode, a 6'8 forward from Saratoga Springs that prepped at the Perkiomen School. I am unsure of his scholarship status, but I am assuming he is a walk-on given his final 4 schools were BU, Lehigh, Carneige Mellon, and Johns Hopkins. Looks like he came to play school. Welcome Andrew!

Here are the other Q&A's:

I'm looking forward to seeing this group on the court. Morales might have the highest ceiling due to his height and skillset. He probably needs to bulk up and get stronger to be effective at the college level. Jones has a nice looking jump shot and good height, so he should be able to get his shot away. Brewster brings great energy and I think he will be a fan favorite. Patnode adds needed size and if he can box out he can help the team.

I don't know if any of the incoming freshmen will be asked to play heavy minutes, but Coach Jones doesn't mind playing his bench, so the freshmen will have their chances to prove themselves.

Since the Patriot League has a lot of players that prep in New England I figured I'd post the rankings for the NERR 2020 Rankings:

27) CJ Jones (BU)
35) Miles Brewster (BU)

39) Sam Thomson (Colgate)
49) Judson Martindale (Holy Cross)
60) Michael Rabinovich (Holy Cross)
63) Anthony Morales (BU)
66) Jalen Sinclair (Lehigh)
83) Kyle Jenkins (Lafayette)
