During the offseason there were talks that the Nets might be interested in Aaron Mckie as a defensive specialist of the bench. Well arent Net fans glad that this guy isnt on the team. He supposedly had point guard skills but yet on the lakers team I cant ever recall him ever playing point, heck even playing at all. Smart move on Rod's part

Im pretty sure he is injured or has been injured.
Well according to the lakers board, he has been injured but he also is a bad player. The other day the lakers were on TV, he was in laker uniform and was sitting on the bench, so am pretty sure he is healthy right now.

Aaron McKey > Jacque Vaughn

Not by much though...

Aaron McKie was a solid player. But he has lost many steps over the years.

He is old and slow and can't jump or shoot. Maybe some defense.

Nets offered him a one year deal at vets minimum. Lakers offered him a two year $5 million deal. McKie chose the team that offered him five times what the other team was offering him. The Nets were smart to offer him nothing more than the vets minimum. He is through.
