I dont think we should make huge rebuilding moves, but i think Dale needs to be traded at the deadline. He is a robot offensivley, and is loosing his imitating presence.

This trade doesnt get us a better C than Dale, but we do get a draft pick and two guys to play center by committe.

This is more of a trade to get rid of Dale than it is to get us a great player back.

So you think Dale Davis is a robot in the post who is losing his intimidating presence...but you think the Sonics would trade a first-round pick for him? I'm not sure Dale Davis is better than Jerome James right now.

Maybe last summer you could have pulled this trade off, back when Davis had some real trade value. At this point Davis is playing so badly you'd be lucky if you could just dump him for an expiring contract like Chris Mills. Ed O had a very good trade idea along those lines.
