Teams seeded 10-15 should be played at the higher seed and then you go on to play at the Palestra/ Entertainment & Sports Arena then on to Wells Fargo/ Capital One Arena for the final. A10 tourney games rarely exceed 9K in announced attendance and those numbers are still pretty inflated.
Agree except play the whole thing at the Palestra, or at least after the round 1 games a.k.a. pillow fights as you mention. It could be a packed house final seating 8,725. It has history, it's in a major metro, and it's not someone's home court. The empty cavern look of Barclay's shows what we all know - outside of A10 fans, nobody cares about the A10 tourney.

res, I think the best would be a neutral multi-event arena of some kind that seats in the 5-6K range. I agree even the Palestra wouldn't look full except maybe if you have the right two teams in the final. The league could help matters by getting stronger as a whole too. They've got to get out of Barclays though - it's a wasted weekend for Brooklyn and IIRC, the last contracted season is 2024 so hopefully there's a contingency when they don't renew.

Part of moving the needle is playing your tournament in front of (what looks like) a ton of rabid fans in an exciting environment. The other part is actually being good enough to do so.

AA, the conference IS bad. That's not self-loathing that's acknowledging reality. Look at the OOC losses that were had. Also, when we say "bad" we're comparing to seasons where A10 was #7/8 range. Falling to #11 based on whatever metric isn't good when all anyone cares about is P6, Gonzaga, and then maybe the next 1 or 2 leagues.

The league has never been PR savvy.

I do not understand why the A10 had the play in game teams in the bracket with the 2, 3 and 4 seeds and excluded them from the 1 seed. Explain how that makes sense? Then couple that with start times and the dumbass day off. I have been staring at that bracket since it came out and now my worst nightmares are coming true. Winning the regular season meant nothing to the idiots that put this shit show together. Oh well.
Because it's standard seeded 1-16 (15) like any regular bracket. So the 8/9 is on the 1 line. The 10/15 get to the 2 line - eventually - the 11/14 to the 3, etc. It all makes perfect sense.

A radical thought would be make the regular season really count, and give only the #1 a bye and seed the tournament 1-15, have 2-15 play their lines at the campus better seed on Tues. Take Wed/Thu off and remaining 8 meet in Brooklyn for the tournament Fri/Sat/Sun.
