I have gone to Brooklyn and purchased individual session tickets in the past. Guys are scalping them for reasonable prices because it is never sold out. Not sure of the price per session but if you go to the Barclays ticket site you can probably find out. Oh, if you want you can also contact Rhody's ticket office and usually get good seats. I have looked at tickets from teams in the first round of games because they are always available.Anybody know if these games are general admission? People who bought the full package through Fordham let me know that there are no details as to section or anything on their tickets. Thanks.
Gotcha. Fordham’s athletic dept would know for the first game.Thanks. My question is about where each teams section might be rather than how to get tickets.
I always wonder what Ken Pom's percentage is of picking throughout the season.Ken Pom has Dayton as the favorite:

Bill will take one if you throw in your puffy 90s Yankee dugout jacket.I have a ticket for tomorrow and 1 for Wednesday morning two for Wednesday evening session. 25 per session if anyone interested.
So like the women they would underperform during the regular season and back in with a tournament run.The Billiken men need to follow in the footsteps of the Billiken women and take this thing.
Let's be honest here. You said if the league gets stronger....well, when the A10 had a 5 bid league I went to Brooklyn. It was a big crowd but not packed. Throughout that tournament there were lots of empty seats.res, I think the best would be a neutral multi-event arena of some kind that seats in the 5-6K range. I agree even the Palestra wouldn't look full except maybe if you have the right two teams in the final. The league could help matters by getting stronger as a whole too. They've got to get out of Barclays though - it's a wasted weekend for Brooklyn and IIRC, the last contracted season is 2024 so hopefully there's a contingency when they don't renew.
Part of moving the needle is playing your tournament in front of (what looks like) a ton of rabid fans in an exciting environment. The other part is actually being good enough to do so.
It is bad BUT look around. This college basketball season is bad. That is my opinion on 2023 so far.AA, the conference IS bad. That's not self-loathing that's acknowledging reality. Look at the OOC losses that were had. Also, when we say "bad" we're comparing to seasons where A10 was #7/8 range. Falling to #11 based on whatever metric isn't good when all anyone cares about is P6, Gonzaga, and then maybe the next 1 or 2 leagues.
The league has never been PR savvy.
Green City will host one day. Watch. I know the guy in charge of Henrico's Sports and Entertainment Economic Development. He is gonna get the A10.As a fan, Brooklyn has been by far the best place to have the tournament. I went to Pittsburgh and DC, and they just weren’t as much fun. I get the argument of the empty venue; but, I also agree that it doesn’t show up in tv as much as you’d assume. Playing in home gyms or smaller arenas also has a lower-level connotation to it, too.
Securing the Barclays in 2013, along with the new members definitely put a lot of positive attention on the league. It hasn’t been maintained, but, if don’t think sizing down in venues is a good optic, either.
Also, say no the Green City arena outside of Richmond. It will be in a suburb about 20 minutes away from downtown. It will be great distance for 5 or so teams, but it will be a place you’re spending an extra $50 a day and 45-60 minutes on travel.
Wait to see how it shapes up. You will be pleasantly surprised by the amenities on location and an easy trip to the city if needed. Right off the 95/295 corridor.Oh I don’t doubt that it will happen. I just don’t think it should happen.
One has to wonder if Frank Martin and his demeanor has worn thin with his players. They seemed like they wanted to be done. And holy shit, Richmond holds UMass to under 40! 71-38 final. Buckle up, Paul.
Yes. I was working for channel 12 covering sports at the time so I was shooting the games. I can remember Kent Culuko hitting a last second shot for JMU and fans jumping over me to run out on the court.Did you go to the CAA games at the Coliseum before you joined the conference?
1990 & 1991 it seemed all 8 teams had a crowd and the lower bowl stayed reasonable full all 3 days.
A game plan that involves Venning first to get the offense going. Play inside/out. He can go to the glass or kick it to cutters or open teammates for jumpers. Getting Farell early touches would also be helpful.Take Davidson -4 all day. The Bona faithful will be given the needle of mercy today on this season.
I will be watching. In the 2nd half of the VCU game they did well off the ball. I will pay particular attention to movement off the ball early today. All true AA except one key point, there needs to be cutters in order to hit cutters. Usually they stand around and watch.
You are correct in that off the ball players are not cutting. They were getting the ball to Venning but not giving him good targets to hit.Well AA, how shitty was our offense?
