This week's matchups:Two big games for Binghamton this week kick off a pretty brutal four game stretch. Part of why I thought this afternoon's game was a must win was that having to face Vermont, Bryant, UNH and UMBC in the next four could easily result in a 1-3 or even 0-4 stretch.
Hopefully with Binghamton being an older group they'll be able to shake it off and get focused on Vermont.
This is a smart take, especially when you consider how many of those sleepy-eyed 11AM AE championship games are defensive-minded rock fights. Advantage, Lowell. The initial reason I hopped on their bandwagon at the start is that I liked their roster on a matchup basis relative to Bryant.
UML are a good team but certainly not the "class" of the AE. Let's wait at least until half the season is played. UVM played without Hurley or Sullivan, when they lost to UML. At full strength, UVM is definitely part of the"class" discussion.UML looks like the class of AE. Hard to see how they lost 2 already
I should have known better. Abuse another team in the league right before your team's game starts --> your team gets smoked.57 points in the first half? It's almost like playing a DIII squad

I'm not sure anyone actually said that? A few of us already here said we were excited because Bryant could challenge Vermont and their entire vibe is pretty antithetical to UVM's.What happened to the Bryant fans that showed up here puffing their chests before AE play began? So much for the quick jump to the A-10 (as if....).
Here's what I'm buying: at this point of the season, Bryant has proven themselves to be, not that great. With the roster that they have, they should absolutely be one of the best teams in the league, but until they decide to play some defense, I think that they're a mid-pack team.It was said.... Maine Jeff is buying!
Agreed. I think Bryant has a defense problem, one that I don't think is unique to this year's team. Many of us, myself included, looked at their roster and figured they'd be able to mask it offensively. To date, the results have been inconsistent to put it politely. Here's what I'm buying: at this point of the season, Bryant has proven themselves to be, not that great. Not only that, the 2 (?) actual Bryant fans that showed up on here seemed reasonable and nice. It's too bad they don't post more. It's too bad there aren't fans of other teams anymore. Shout out to the cool group of UMBC fans who are the only ones around it seems. For as much as people proclaim they welcome all types, I can see it being a real challenge if you're not a UVM fan to be on here with any regularity...especially in Bryant's case when a lot of people (majority UVM fans) here were very hellbent on making Bryant out to be spawns of the devil.I'm not sure anyone actually said that? So do the Boston Celtics. ;-)I can't (and obviously don't) speak for all the Lowell fans, but there does seem to be some excitement building. Apparently yesterday was a sell-out at Costello. I had mentioned a couple of games prior that the team plays to their competition. That honestly makes it tough to be excited right now, unfortunately, even with them already setting up a DI win record this year.
