Not bad, but I don't think there's anyway Vaugn should be starting. Slide Jo Jo White into the starting point guard spot (hell, I'd take Hinrich anyday before Vaugn, no offense to Jacque). And Nick's probably not versatile enough to play the 3, if you want him in the starting lineup I'd move Manning down to SF and put Collison at PF. Maybe even put Lovellette at the 4 with Manning at the 3, or you could put Gooden in and he and Manning would be somewhat interchangeable. Lafrentz is another possibility, especially with his perimeter game.

Mine would probably be:

C- Wilt
PF- Lovellette
SF- Manning
SG- Pierce
PG- White

PG -- Kirk Hinrich/Jo Jo White (can't decide)
SG -- Paul Pierce
SF -- Danny Manning
PF -- Clyde Lovellette
C -- Wilt Chamberlain

This is a great question. Kansas has so many good players in history.

PG you have Kirk Hinrich, Jacque Vaughn, JoJo Whiite for examples. Those are the names that come out at first

Wilt and Mannign are no time brainers

but hre are some good possibilites to list for the KU all-time team

G-Hinrich
G-Vaughn
G-JOJoWhie
C-Wilt
SF/PF-Danny Manning
F/C-Lovette
F/C-David Robisch
F/C-Raef LaFrentz
G/SF-Paul Pierce
G-Bill Hougland
G-Darnell Valentine
G-Ron Kellog
G-Kevin Pichard
G-Charlie Black
G/F-Bud Stallsworth
G-Cedric Hunter
G-Aaron Miles
G-Ray Evans
G/F-Fred Palle
F/C-Scot Pollard
G-Calvin Thompson
G/F-Murice King
G/F-Tom Kvisto
G/F-B.H. Born
G/F Howard Engleman
G/F-Nolan Ellison
G-Adonis Jordan
G-Rex Walters
G-Jeff Boschee
G-Terry Brown
F/C-Drew Gooden
F/C-Nick Collison
F/C-Mark Randall
F-Wayne Simien
G-Steve Woodberry
C-Greg Ostertag

I read somewhere, most historians considered Fred Palle, the MJ of the 1930's. Ray Evan is underrated to many young KU fans. I am a young KU fan, but I knew a lot from him by my grandpa and dad. He was a two sport all-american in football and basketball. Now days you can not see tht anymore.

so when I go with my team, I will go starting 5 then 9 deep in the Bench. It is just hard to leave everyone out. Very tough. PG for my starting lineup is tough., but I had to go with JoJo White.

C-Wilt Chamberlain
PF-Clyde Lovette
SF-Danny Manning
PG-JoJo White
SG-Paul Pierce

Bench
PG-Jacque Vaughn
SG-Ray Evans
SF-Fred Palle
PF-David Robisch
C-Raef LaFrentz
WG-Kirk Hinrich
SG-Terry Brown
PF-Nick Collison
G-Darnell Vallentine

I never saw JoJo at Ku so I am just going by what I have seen, and I was debating between (never seen them)Lovelle and Wilt, and Jaquce And Kirk.

Someone besides KU has to post on this thread

C-Wayman Tisdale
F-Alvin Adams
F-Eduardo Najera
PG-Mookie Blaylock
SG-Hollis Price

Bench

F-Ryan Minor
C/F-Stacey King
PF-Harvey Grant
G-Corey Brewer
PG-Quannis White

I think there's a guy or two on this team that could end up there when there careers are over.

I thought about that for a while. That's why he's the last listed.. I think Lavender could be better than QW in a couple of years. But definatly not now. I can't even think of another PG under Tubbs. White's the best PG under Sampson though. I guess Brewer played some at PG, but he was a scorer.

thanks for info on OU.

When ESPN does that last 25 top teams for each conference, how would they work the Big 8/Big 12? What I mean is, what about the 4 Texas schools, would they count players on those teams before those four schools entered the confernce? Techincally they were not Big 8 schools yet.
